Richard Jack Robins

Richard passed away at Stepping Hill hospital, Stockport on Tue 2 May, 2017, aged 79, after battling a long illness.
Richard, a Corporal in 1DWR, who served with the Battalion in Cyprus and Northern Ireland in 1957-58.
The funeral service took place on Mon 22 May, 2017 at Buxton Methodist Church, in Buxton, at 10:45hrs. He was then moved to a local crematorium, for a short (family only) service. Richard’s Wake was held at Buxton Conservative Club, at 13:15hrs.

Note: Richard was the younger brother of Lt Col (Ret’d) Walter Robins, OBE, who served with the DWR for 35 years, before becoming the Regimental Secretary in the mid 1980s.
