It is with great sadness that we have been informed that Wain Batty has died at his home near Nottingham.
Wain is survived by his wife Beverley and his two daughters.
Wain served with the 1st Battalion, in Corunna Company, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. Serving in Bulford, Hounslow, Osnabruck, Northern Ireland, Canada and Poland, amongst other locations.
Wain’s funeral will be held at 12:00hrs, on the 15th of August, at Barnaby Moor Memorial Park Crematorium. Giggles Lodge Lane, Retford. DN22 8FL.
A gathering will be held at the Harworth and Bircotes Sports Centre afterwards. Postcode location is DN11 8JT.
